Usually we focus on making sure are bon bons are cold, but this is one time when we want them to be hot, hot, hot! In our contestant profile, there is a popularity meter. Right now, it’s at a very respectable two-thirds set point, but with your help we can move that meter into the “hot” range. Help us put Wilmington and South ‘n France Bon Bons on the map! Let’s show them that our beautiful beaches aren’t the only things that are hot!
Help Us 'Get Hot' with Your Vote
South ‘n France is pleased to announce that we are one of the competitors in the StartupNation® Home Based 100 competition! Our company is competing with close to a hundred other businesses in the “Yummiest” category. We think that we are indeed the yummiest home-based business in the country; if you agree, then we need your vote! Now, through the end of October, you can vote for us as often as once a day. Just visit our blog and click on the “Vote for Me!” button in the upper left-hand corner. A panel of judges will decide the winner using three criteria:
1) how well our business fits the category for which we entered (we think we’ve got that one covered);
2) the quality and completeness of our business description and the case we make for it; and
3) the popularity of our entry based on the number of popular votes we receive (that’s how you can help!).
StartupNation® is a free service founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. It was created by The Sloan Brothers, who describe themselves as “lifetime entrepreneurs”. They started their first business as teenagers, buying and selling HUD houses. As young adults, they started and sold one of the world’s leading Arabian horse breeding operations and grew a consumer products import company. In the mid-90’s, the Sloan brothers created Sloan Ventures, an early-stage venture development and financing firm that has infused over $60 million in financing into fast growing, technology companies. Through their years of in-the-trenches experience, the Sloan brothers amassed a wealth of business wisdom. Forming StartupNation® in 2002 was a logical extension of their career as two of the country’s foremost business experts. Through StartupNation’s broadcast, online, print, and event channels, entrepreneurs can access much needed advice from a variety of experts and peers who’ve been through it before.
