A Chocolate a Day...

We all know the old adage about an apple day, but what happens when you eat a chocolate every day? Corrine DeBra can tell you. In 2006, she accepted a bet that she couldn't eat a different chocolate each day for a year. Not only did she accept the challenge, she also started a blog called "Chocolate Banquet" to chronicle her chocolate tasting adventures. Two years later, she's still going strong!  By June of next 2009, Corrine will have eaten 1000 different kinds of chocolates in as many days. She has tried everything from a Rockin' Nut Road Snickers Bar to Mo's Famous Bacon Bar from Vosges Haut Chocolate. When we discovered that she hadn't yet tried South 'n France Bon Bons, we couldn't resist sending a few samples. This week, Corrine is working her way through our seven different bon bon flavors, reviewing one flavor per day. Take a peek at the bon bons she's tried so far

One of my favorite parts of Corinne's blog is the area where she lists her best and lowest moments during her chocolate-a-day challenge. One low moment was eating a chocolate banana slug - can you imagine? Now there's a girl who is dedicated to her chocolate! She also lists some amazing stats to put her challenge into perspective. Corrine estimates that she has eaten almost fifty pounds of chocolate in the past couple of years from approximately 304 different chocolate manufacturers. South 'n France is thrilled to be company number 305!

Corinne, thanks for all of your hard work in reviewing chocolates from all over the world (it's a tough job, but someone has to do it, right?). We hope you enjoy this week of "sitting around eatin' bon bons!"
