Cozy as an Escargot?

We've finished shipping bon bons for the Christmas rush; we've feted New Year’s Eve; now, Pascal and I get to enjoy a few quiet days of rest and relaxation before rushing headlong into Valentine's Day shipments, deliveries, singing telegrams, and romantic dinners. We plan to hibernate in our warm bed for a three-day mini-vacation. I'll be snug as bug in a rug, napping, reading, and cuddling with my sweetie.

We've all heard the expression 'snug as bug', but how about feeling cozy as a snail in a sweater? If this blogger has anything to do with it, the idea of cozy sweater-wearing snails just might catch on!

Our rich and colorful language already has lots of  fun expressions about bees, bugs, and other tiny critters. Can you think of any I've missed? If so, add them in the comments section of this blog post...

Busy as a bee

Busy as a beaver

Make a beeline for it!

She's got a bee in her bonnet.

He's got ants in his pants.

You're the bee's knees!

I've got butterflies in my stomach.

None of your beeswax...

I'll put a bug in her ear.

He was as mad as a hornet.

Don't bug me (at least for the next three days)!
