Willy Wonka is coming to town, and of course, South 'n France Bon Bons is helping to roll out the welcome mat!
Just like the magic created in Roald Dahl’s beloved book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, eight golden tickets await discovery by eight lucky winners in eight Port City Java locations. Winners will receive tickets to Thalian Association’s Wilmington premiere of Willy Wonka. Willy Wonka will be performed on the Thalian Hall Main Stage December 12-22.
Eight winning “golden tickets” (one per store) will be discreetly hidden in eight of our Doubly Goody! Bon Bon packs sold at eight Port City Java locations throughout Greater Wilmington. The bon bons are sold in pairs and each is wrapped in colored foil. The eight winning pairs will contain a double-wrapped bon bon with an inner golden foil. Purchasers of the golden bon bons will win two tickets to the Willy Wonka production of their choice from December 12-22.
Port City Java will promote the golden ticket giveaway with posters and signage in-store. Participating baristas will also don a tall, purple hat, reminiscent of the one worn by Willy Wonka in the play.
To further promote the Golden Ticket giveaway, actors from Willy Wonka, including the madcap Wonka himself, will visit select Port City Java locations during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Willy and the cast will be at the Lumina Station Port City Java Friday November 29th, 3:00 – 4:00 pm and will visit the 21 North Front Street cafe, in downtown Wilmington, Saturday November 30th, 11:00 am -12:00 pm. The actors will entertain customers with a brief song and dance from the upcoming musical. These special appearances are an excellent Photo Opportunity for print & broadcast media.
The Willy Wonka production schedule is December 12-22, Thursday – Saturday at 8:00 pm with Sunday matinees at 3:00 pm. Ticket information is available at 910-632-2285 or www.thalian.org.
